Down Time
Every weekend LeeAnn and I head out to take pictures. The jeep takes us wherever we decide to go and there we pull out the trusty Nikon and go to shooting photos. Well not the last two weekends we didn’t go take pictures. We found ourselves with bunches and I do mean bunches of pictures that had been taken but not looked at and edited. So these last two weekends have been spent, both relaxing a little bit and spending some time looking over our past work. It just had to be done, however, we did not get as much done as we had planned. You know that sometimes life just gets in the way. Not to mention the fact that we are old and we get tired. Now don’t be looking at us saying “that will never happen to me” because it will. Age has a way of sneaking up on you and then you feel, well, old all of the sudden.
High Bridge Park
A quick afternoon run to Wilmore, Kentucky led us just south of Wilmore to the secluded little park called High Bridge Park. It seemed like just a little spot in the road but out of curiosity we pulled in for a visit, and are we glad we did. Such a gem of a park, with scenic view of the Kentucky River below seen from the well maintained overlooks and shelters found in this lovely little spot!
Photos and Stories
It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. That may be true, but what are those words? Does every person who looks at a photo have the same words? I am quite sure that they don’t.
Exploring
One of our favorite things is getting out and finding some places that we have never been! Whether it be a drive to a destination or just a drive down a Kentucky backroad enjoying the beauty of this part of the country. Rolling hills covered with rich green bluegrass. Cattle spread across an open field. The majesty of a thoroughbred standing with its coat glistening in the bright warm sunlight of a spring day in central Kentucky!
A Spin on Taking Photos
We found out what happens when you have the best of intentions to take at least a million photos in one day, okay not maybe a million but let’s just say a bunch! LeeAnn and I took off a few weeks ago, headed for the beautiful city of Berea, Kentucky. The home of Berea College.
